emerson t.v. model # ewl20d6a, serial# j15620733,april,2006. t.v. fell over from 2″ to floor,now it won’t turn on no sound or picture.

WE cannot get a vcr/dvd to work with the tv. Cable box works fine but also cannot run vcr thru cable box to tv. WE are wondering if we just do not have something hooked up correctly or if there is an issue with the tv. We have tried a miriad of connection combinations. We also do not have the original remote control we are using the remote that goes with our Hughes hdtv box.
